On behalf of Bev & Arthur, Garth & Clare, Bonnie & I and our families, we would like to extend our sincere love and thanks to all, for the wonderful and kind words shared and the incredibly generous support through the last few weeks. It is most appreciated and will be savoured for a long time to come.
With Mom, Ouma, Aunty Vonnie, Yvonnie, as she was known to so many, now in that eternal space with Jesus, whom she loved and had a total faith in, I think she’d want us to be aware of how she prayed endlessly for all of us to know Him and be guided in life by Him. I do believe without which, none of us or our families would be as we are now, totally blessed by His love and protection of us all.
Mom, was a strong women (matriarch of the family for so long) was filled with the strength of the Holy Spirit through her love for Jesus. From my conversations with mom I know she would want us to remember the advice from Romans 8:11;
“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
I certainly believe that it was this faith that enabled mom to endure in strength for so long. As Rowen mentioned in his memorial message, mom was always enquiring and wanted to learn more about Jesus and his grace so freely offered up for us.
I trust that the testimony of moms life will be a guiding light to all who knew and loved her. May Gods blessing be upon you as we remember.
